The Walker Treasury Project has just proved very useful – but not like you’d think!
Today, I was demonstrating a multi-user wordpress blog as a potential research tool. The idea was to show its potential for collating and structuring the ongoing work of a group of people who are spread over a wide geographic region. On the spur of the moment, I used the Walker Treasury project as a current working example.
The person I was talking to was particularly impressed by the way the categories had been set up by book then chapter, and also by type of swatch. They also liked the convention used for naming then categorising posts, and could see how this would correspond to their own work. The key thing for them was how well the Walker Treasury project demonstrated that many people could contribute to an online undertaking that supplements a set of books.
So, a big thankyou to the Walker Treasury moderators for keeping things on track! I will be back soon to offer more help, I promise.
